Fiorucci Sticker Book by Panini 1984

Modena: Edizioni Panini S.p.A., 1984. Sticker Book, complete with two hundred sequentially numbered stickers. Produced by the iconic Italian fashion label, the 1984 stickers are a memorable high point in Fiorucci's graphic pop post modernism. The stickers are organized into six themes: Fiorucci Story, Dance, Electron, Romance, Pin-Up and Swim. "Fiorucci Story" is notable for the profusion of some 52 signature images the brand used instead of any single fixed logo. Electron, a series of often abstracted electronic devices and circuitry, features many images designed on the brand new Apple Macintosh by an uncredited Christoph Radl, designer and typographer with the Memphis Group of architects and designers. All of the themes work within the decidedly postmodern graphic idiom of 1950s American kitsch filtered through an ironic, post punk, new wave and science fiction aesthetic familiar from underground comix such as Raw Magazine.
